Baked Kale Chips

I was looking for a new recipe for kale and came upon this recipe at My first reaction was, that looks weird. I decided to try it anyway. I followed the instructions and kept looking in the oven to see what was going on. The kale looked like it was wilted and not crisp at all, so when I finally pulled it out of the oven and tried it I was amazed to find that it was super crispy!! It had a spinachy taste, but was super crisp like chips. It was a fun healthy snack. I baked mine on a silpat baking mat just to make sure it didn't stick.

Baked Kale Chips

  2. With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  3. Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.
